BOARD OF TRUSTEES

As representatives of the general membership comprising the Cavite Christian School, Inc. (“CCS”), the members of the Board of Trustees are keen in keeping its mandate of ensuring that every child who becomes part of CCS will receive the most appropriate education.

Over the years the Board of Trustees has implemented programs and has pursued business development plans based on a basic underlying educational philosophy - - - that education is not a means to an end but is an end in itself.

What does this mean? The Board of Trustee desires that CCS educates the students, not for the principal purpose of making them ready for work or ready for earning a living, but for the principal purpose of giving them intellectual, moral, and social instructions primarily for their personal development and growth.

Such instructions are to be provided by CCS inside the classrooms, in the play areas, along its corridors and halls; through the books, through home works, through parent-teacher interactions, through interaction with people within and without the premises, through competitions and collaborations. Especially between teachers and students; and especially between and among students. Through lectures, and workshops; through theories and practical applications.

Such instructions include training the students to think logically, training them in deductive reasoning; training them in good manners and right conduct; making them understand and practice respect - - to whom or to what to give respect to and when must it be done.

Such show of respect would include respect for the religious beliefs, culture, traditions and practices of others especially to those people whose beliefs, culture, traditions and practices are different to or contrary to theirs.

This philosophy is also manifested when CCS provides instructions with regard to basic universal rights, including right to life and liberty, freedom of opinion and expression and the right to work and education.

In educating, the Board of Trustees is also creating an environment that strives to make the students understand and practice self-confidence, self-control. Training them how to speak correctly, properly and when to and not to, speak and in what manner; training them how to become street smart, to develop tact, to learn how to plan for short and long run; to know when to stand firm or when to give in; to value winnings and triumph and to accept defeats and losses;

CCS cultivates camaraderie between students, always reminding them that the relationships that they build in school would last till they grow old;

Most importantly, in academic and administrative matters, the Board of Trustees pursues programs to inculcate the value of family. The importance of family as the basic unit of society. Its principal position in the life of the student, second only to his faith in his god.

The members of the Board of Trustees are professionals with extensive experience in school management and corporate administration. Most are current / former teachers and instructors in public and private schools. The others have professional qualifications in physical, medical and social sciences. For the academic year 2020, the incumbent members are Jessica Eustacio, Bernard Gorospe, Rhoniel Gorospe, Laila Kalagayan, Rhea Lucas, Alfredo Malubay Sr., Miriam Manuel and Vivian Solmiano
