In a public briefing Tuesday morning, DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones announced August 24 as the official opening of classes, whether virtual, online, or physical, but CCS officials are still in talks about the official school opening date.
According to Briones, classes, “whether virtual, online, or physical,” will open in August, as mandated by law, and will end on April 30.
The school management has yet to decide on the official opening of classes for CCS.
Due to the current pandemic, nationwide school events like Palarong Pambansa, the National Science and Technology Fair, and the National Schools Press Conference are canceled this school year.
Teachers are required to render service starting June to undergo capacity-building and training in flexible learning methods.
While waiting for the opening of classes, students may access DepEd Commons, a platform developed by DepEd to facilitate learning through other alternatives.
