Interest Clubs for Middle School
Young Scientists Club
In the field of science, one’s abilities can be developed through his/her own sense of awareness, creativity, and inventiveness. The Young Scientists Club aims to help students develop a scientific way of learning; have awareness of and concern for scientific issues in personal, social, environmental, and technological contexts; and understand scientific knowledge through experiments.
Junior Worshipers Club
To provide a wide open door to individuals with talents in singing and dancing, and to allow them to showcase these talents, this club is organized, which will specially develop students in the performing arts. It also aims for its members to appreciate gospel/worship songs and worship dance patterns, and enhance their confidence, discipline and sense of responsibility.
Artistic Hands Club
The Artistic Hands Club aims to produce and appreciate pieces of art. It is organized to enhance the art offering in the classroom and to give more opportunities for children to develop their artistic skills to the fullest.
Math Club
The Math Club’s goal is to develop logical ad mathematical skills appropriate for the children’s age, influence students to show fondness of Math and explore their hidden potentials in Math, and find paths to introduce math in creative and innovative ways. Activities include games, puzzles, discussions, film viewing, experiments, and arts.
Junior Chefs Club
Cooking is an important skill to be learned not just by girls but by boys as well. The Junior Chefs Club aims to inspire pupils to learn this important life skill that they can use in their daily lives. This will help them discover their love for cooking and become independent in preparing their own food without depending on other people, restaurants, or instant food preparation.
Board Games Club
Board games play a very important role in children’s health and brain development, helping develop logic and reasoning skills, improve critical thinking, and boost spatial reasoning. The club aims to teach students social skills such as communicating verbally, sharing, waiting, and taking turns, while enjoying interaction with others.
Journalism Club
The Journalism Club gives basic knowledge about print and broadcast journalism which can help students develop an interest in and write about activities in the school and the community. It aims to produce competent and dynamic campus journalists and create a publication, The Junior Gazette, at the end of the school year.
Baking Club
The Baking Club aims to provide a place for students who have a passion in baking and those who want to learn and explore the art of baking. Members will be taught the basic baking techniques, methods, and procedures that can cultivate and develop students’ competencies in producing basic bakery products.
